This home has a kitchen nightmare! And we’re going to destroy it.

This kitchen is a total disaster — and it’s about to be demolished.

In this episode, we take you on a tour of the kitchen in our newest renovation project in the heart of historic Mazatlán, Mexico — and let’s just say, the design choices are… unbelievable.

We’re talking: A maze-like layout with a stove trapped in the middle of the room. No counter space to speak of. A pantry located in a totally different part of the house A bathroom that takes up half the kitchen space. And walls, tile, and cabinets that have seen better decades As we prepare for a full kitchen demolition, we each reveal the thing that scares us most heading into this reno — and spoiler: we don’t agree.

This is about to be one of our biggest demolition jobs yet, and this video is the final look at the chaos before we start swinging hammers. So in this pre-demolition tour, you’ll see:

Our full kitchen layout breakdown — the good, the bad, and the very confusing A peek at the old-school design fails we’ll need to undo The massive structural and aesthetic problems we’ll need to solve And our very different opinions on what part of the house scares us most heading into this renovation If you're into: Home renovation, Mexican real estate, Before-and-after makeovers, Kitchen remodels, Or just the behind-the-scenes reality of demo day prep... …you’ll want to see this.

This is real-life renovation in a real Mexican neighborhood — no fake drama, no fancy budgets, just two people with a vision, a whole lot of grit, and some serious love for bringing homes back to life.
